Monroe County is the Southernmost County in Florida and in the United States. It is home to the Florida Keys and portions of the Everglades National Park and Big Cypress National Preserve. There is one highway in and out of this county. No matter where you are in Monroe County, you are no more then 4 miles from beach. As you drive south on the highway, you drive through different keys/cities that are filled with family run restaurants, shops, and hotels. There are also many places to rent boats, jet skis, or charter large ships for a day of fishing.
